Chihuly

The last time you drove down Park Lane, please tell me you noticed the new glasswork sculpture outside The Dorchester?

And did it remind you of the entrance to the V&A????

The  creator of these extraordinary examples of blown glass is the master of this art Mr Dale Chihuly. Born and educated in America, Chihuly then went on to work and train at the Venini glass factory in Venice. This internationally celebrated artist has exhibited in over 200 museum collections and his latest spectacular exhibition is right here in London. The Halcyon Gallery has now opened a further gallery almost opposite the original one on New Bond Street and it is in this magnificent space where a most incredible and beautiful collection of contemporary glass sculpture is housed and where I was blessed to experience it last week.

There is so much more to see and as the exhibition has been extended again to 21st April 2012 there are no excuses !!!!
